Business Developer (VIE) – Tanzania

About the role

The VIE Business Developer will join CMA CGM’s Tanzania Cluster, reporting to the Cluster Sales Manager. Based in Dar es Salaam, you will analyse market data, identify growth opportunities and support the development of new projects across the cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market sizing and share analysis for CMA CGM in Tanzania.
• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities by understanding customers' overall business.
• Perform competitive benchmarking and deliver market intelligence to internal teams.
• Collaborate with the Reefer Sales Manager to expand the reefer portfolio and diversify product offerings.
• Monitor agency performance, prepare periodic reports and present findings in commercial meetings.
• Organise and attend events promoting CMA CGM’s maritime and non‑maritime services.
• Lead business development projects, especially inland initiatives, by preparing detailed business plans and liaising with local authorities.
• Support the sales manager and the Tanzania Cluster General Manager in coordinating sales activities.

Required profile

• European national, aged 18‑28, eligible for a VIE mission.
• Master’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of global and regional maritime trade, especially perishable and reefer segments.
