Assistant Manager – Branch Coordination & Quality Control

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Branch Coordination & Quality Control supports Mwanga Hakika Bank’s internal control framework. You will oversee branch and head‑office operational activities, ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory standards, and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Review all items on the Branch & HQ Control Check List and report updates to the Head of Operations & Service Excellence.
• Perform daily reviews of branch general ledger accounts, flag exceptions, and assist branches in correcting them.
• Ensure timely submission of regulator returns originating from the Operations Department.
• Monitor vault and ATM positions/limits on a daily basis.
• Conduct branch visits when necessary to verify compliance with internal controls.
• Review key branch compliance reports and follow up on reconciliations within the Operations Department.
• Liaise with Risk and Compliance on statutory and regulatory matters related to branch and head‑office operations.
• Track and close risk, compliance, and audit issues affecting branches and head office.
• Validate onboarding activities at branches for adherence to internal manuals and report any exceptions.

Required profile

• First university degree in a business‑related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in banking operations, covering both branch and head‑office environments.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, risk and compliance culture, and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce clear written reports.
