Assistant Engineering Manager

About the role

Park Hyatt Zanzibar is seeking an experienced Assistant Engineering Manager to support the seamless operation of its luxury facilities. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to maintain high‑performance building systems and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preventive maintenance programmes for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire‑life safety systems.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, projects and major maintenance activities.
• Monitor and optimise the performance of all engineering assets using CMMS tools.
• Develop and coach engineering team members, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hotel engineering experience, preferably in an international luxury environment.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences through operational excellence.
