Assistant Accountant – Full Time

About the role

The Assistant Accountant will support the day‑to‑day accounting operations of CNS Group’s agribusiness estate in Morogoro. The role ensures accurate financial record‑keeping, timely processing of payments, and preparation of essential financial information for management.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions with supporting documentation.
• Assist in processing payments, receipts, invoices and expense reports.
• Perform bank, cash, supplier and other account reconciliations as assigned.
• Maintain organized accounting records, vouchers, invoices and financial files.
• Help prepare monthly financial reports, schedules and account summaries.
• Support petty‑cash management and ensure proper authorization of transactions.
• Track supplier balances, outstanding payments and other financial obligations.
• Contribute to internal controls, audits, budgeting and other finance activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in agriculture, construction, manufacturing or project‑based operations.
• Strong numerical, analytical and record‑keeping abilities with high attention to detail.
• Integrity, accountability and the ability to handle confidential financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
