Air Ticketing Accountant

About the role

A travel agency and air ticketing company in Dar es Salaam is looking for a detail-oriented, organized Accountant to manage its financial transactions and keep accurate financial records. The position is full-time and on-site in Posta, Dar es Salaam, with a stated pay of 800,000 to 2,000,000 TZS per month.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports
• Process invoices, payments and payroll accurately and on time
• Prepare BSP sales reporting and reconcile settlements with IATA
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payments to regulatory authorities
• Reconcile bank statements and manage financial discrepancies
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Conduct regular audits of financial documents and collaborate with other departments

Required profile

• IATA certification is required
• At least 2 years of air ticketing or airline accounting experience
• Degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software
• Experience with GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo) and BSP settlement work preferred
