Accountant Officer – Vingunguti Industrial Area

About the role

The client is looking for a diligent Accountant Officer to join their team at Vingunguti Industrial Area. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, supporting inventory control, and ensuring statutory compliance while preparing accurate financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure completeness of financial documentation.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare supplier, vendor, and customer reconciliations.
• Support inventory management processes and stock reconciliations.
• Conduct product costing and assist in pricing analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and reports.
• Ensure timely filing and compliance with statutory obligations including TRA, VAT, PAYE, SDL, WCF, and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Maintain proper filing systems for accounting and financial documents.
• Work closely with operations and procurement teams to ensure financial control and compliance.
• Perform any other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA qualification or progress towards CPA is an added advantage.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Prior experience in trading, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution companies is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with inventory management and costing processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and results‑oriented mindset.
• Experience handling high‑volume transactions is an added advantage.
