Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Arusha

About the role

Ameta Tanzania is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its team in Arusha. The role focuses on managing daily financial operations and supporting the company’s mission to empower Tanzanian farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and prepare financial statements.
• Manage budgets and ensure compliance with local financial regulations.
• Track and reconcile financial transactions and accounts.
• Conduct financial analysis and support internal and external audits.
• Process payroll and assist with financial planning activities.

Required profile

• Ordinary Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in standard accounting practices and financial reporting.
• Experience with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) portal posting and account reconciliation.
• Strong general accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills.
