Workshop Artisan

About the role

The Workshop Artisan provides essential engineering support to the maintenance function, ensuring plant, machines and equipment are repaired, replaced or manufactured to keep production running smoothly. You will work in a safety‑focused environment, collaborating with a team to maintain high standards of reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy workshop environment and comply with health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Maintain, repair and fabricate plant equipment, fabric, and associated devices.
• Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation or systems.
• Plan, prepare and execute repair or maintenance jobs.
• Operate workshop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct safety inspections, identify unsafe practices and ensure PPE compliance.
• Support team development through effective communication and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Artisan or Motor Mechanic.
• 1–2 years of experience as an artisan in an industrial setting.
• Completion of on‑the‑job training (2–3 months) and Manufacturer Basic Maintenance Training.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
