Utility Driver

About the role

Sandvik Mining & Construction Tanzania Limited is seeking a safety‑focused Utility Driver to join its Mwanza team. You will be responsible for transporting employees, visitors, materials and company assets while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drive employees, visitors and authorized passengers to designated locations.
• Deliver and collect company documents, materials and equipment as required.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe and road‑worthy condition.
• Comply with Tanzanian road traffic regulations and company driving procedures.
• Keep accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel and maintenance records.
• Protect company vehicles, equipment and transported assets.
• Promote Sandvik’s Zero Harm safety culture.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate (Form IV) or equivalent.
• Valid Tanzanian driving licence for the relevant vehicle class (C, C1, C2, C3, E).
• Minimum three years of driving experience in a corporate, mining, logistics or industrial environment.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.
• Strong commitment to safety, integrity and professionalism.

Required skills

• Defensive driving techniques.
• First‑aid certification (advantageous).
• Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge.
