Trade Development Representative – Arusha, Tanzania

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium food products, is looking for a motivated Trade Development Representative to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships in Arusha, Tanzania. The role focuses on order generation, merchandising standards, and ensuring product availability across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Generate orders according to route plans and sales targets, maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Manage product assortment, monitor movement, handle returns, and ensure timely delivery.
• Achieve 100% collection of outstanding receivables and follow payment procedures.
• Maintain FEFO standards, product visibility, on‑shelf availability, accurate pricing, and clean displays.
• Ensure refrigeration equipment operates correctly and identify opportunities for additional displays.
• Submit daily, weekly and periodic sales reports, reporting payment issues and market insights.

Required profile

• Tanzania nationality (required).
• Customer‑focused and results‑driven attitude.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory and meet sales targets.
• Good communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, trade development or a related field (entry level).
