Tourism Sales Consultant

About the role

The Tourism Sales Consultant works on‑site in Moshi, Tanzania, handling both inbound and outbound sales inquiries for custom safari and Kilimanjaro experiences. The role involves designing personalized itineraries, preparing quotations, and ensuring a seamless guest journey from the first contact to post‑trip feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound sales inquiries via email and phone.
• Design customized safari and Kilimanjaro itineraries tailored to client needs.
• Prepare detailed quotations and proposals for each itinerary.
• Advise clients on destinations, travel options, and local attractions.
• Manage bookings with local suppliers and partners, ensuring accurate documentation and payment follow‑up.
• Maintain strong client relationships and update sales and booking records.
• Collaborate with the operations team to guarantee a smooth guest experience from inquiry to post‑trip feedback.

Required profile

• Strong sales and customer service abilities, with proven relationship‑building, negotiation and closing skills.
• Solid knowledge of Tanzania tourism products, including safari destinations, national parks and Kilimanjaro routes.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages such as Swahili are a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.
• Previous experience in tourism, hospitality or a related customer‑facing role.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business or a related field is an advantage.
