Teppanyaki Chef – Luxury Beach Resort

About the role

Join a 5‑star beachfront resort as a Teppanyaki Specialist, delivering high‑cuisine Japanese grill experiences while engaging guests with entertaining cooking performances.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients (mise en place) by cutting meats, seafood, and vegetables to high‑cuisine standards.
• Cook complex dishes following standard recipes and manage griddle temperature for various foods.
• Perform skillful tricks with knives, spatulas, and salt shakers while interacting charismatically with diners.
• Maintain an immaculate teppan area before, during, and after service.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, including temperature control and cross‑contamination prevention.
• Analyze customer survey results, define improvement actions, and resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and compliments.
• Handle daily inventory, weekly food orders, waste management, and supplier receipt checks.
• Monitor budget targets for revenue, costs, and personnel, and follow up on KPI compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Teppanyaki service.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Effective verbal and non‑verbal communication.
• Solid knowledge of food preparation, production, and safety.
• Team‑player attitude.
