Technical Services Plant Operator

About the role

AB InBev is seeking a motivated Operator to safely run and maintain Technical Services plants. You will ensure optimal plant performance, support utilities delivery, and uphold the company’s high safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate equipment and plant processes in line with VPO standards.
• Optimize plant and process performance where appropriate.
• Provide utilities to other departments according to required standards.
• Perform housekeeping, apply 5S principles and follow safe work practices.
• Identify and correct unsafe work practices.
• Draft and document standard work procedures, quick‑fix routines and problem‑solving guides.
• Carry out quality checks, record results and apply problem‑solving techniques such as 5 WHY.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Line Manager.
• Participate in meetings, PI reviews and shift hand‑overs, using communication tools like the shift logbook.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 9 months on‑the‑job training.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage.
• Understanding of VPO principles.

Required skills

• Mechanical/Electrical engineering knowledge.
• Familiarity with VPO (Value‑Process‑Optimization) principles.
• Quality control and analysis.
• Problem‑solving techniques (e.g., 5 WHY, quick‑fix routines).
• Safe work practices and 5S methodology.
