Team Lead – Asset & Liability Management (ALM)

About the role

The Team Lead – Asset & Liability Management (ALM) will oversee the bank’s balance‑sheet strategy, ensuring optimal profitability, liquidity and risk management. Reporting to senior management, the role combines analytical oversight with advisory support across treasury, credit and funding functions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the bank’s balance sheet, aligning asset and liability strategies with profitability and regulatory requirements.
• Provide pricing and advisory services bank‑wide and ensure investment bookings comply with policy.
• Advise treasury operations on investment bookings and credit administration on government securities.
• Monitor investment maturity dates, inter‑bank placements, borrowings and interest cost on placements, ensuring limits and approvals are respected.
• Track market developments, analyse their impact on the placements portfolio and money markets, and submit accurate returns to the Central Bank or equivalent authority.
• Support funding decisions and contribute to liquidity and interest‑rate risk monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of treasury products such as swaps, futures and forwards.
• Deep understanding of ALM, VAR and hedging techniques.
• Proven financial analysis and interpretation capabilities.
• Excellent customer service, negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
• Leadership experience with supervisory and team‑building abilities.
• Awareness of regulatory guidelines, banking operations and money‑market trends.
