Storekeeper - Solar Equipment Inventory

About the role

A solar energy and renewable solutions company, represented by its client, is looking for a reliable and professional storekeeper in Dar es Salaam. The role manages the inventory and storage of solar equipment, tools and materials, keeping stock levels accurate, issuing goods on time and documenting everything. It supports daily project operations and keeps the warehouse organised, safe and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and keep stock updated regularly
• Carry out frequent inventory audits and report discrepancies
• Monitor stock levels and work with the procurement team to avoid stock-outs
• Process stock issuance requests accurately and dispatch goods to project sites on time
• Keep the warehouse clean and organised according to company layout standards
• Label and tag every item so it can be identified correctly and is not misplaced
• Enforce warehouse safety standards and ensure safe handling of batteries and hazardous materials
• Prepare and submit timely inventory and warehouse reports
• Use inventory management software and keep system records up to date
• Respond quickly to the project team's needs and support efficient warehouse operations

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in storekeeping, logistics, supply chain management or a related technical field; secondary school certificate at minimum
• At least 2 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory control
• Prior experience managing technical or solar-related inventory is an added advantage
• Familiarity with basic procurement procedures and warehouse workflows
• Excellent attendance, reliability and teamwork
