SNP Planner – Short-Term Production & Supply Planning

About the role

The SNP Planner is responsible for developing and managing short‑term brewing, distilling, and packaging plans that align with forecasted sales demand. The role ensures optimal inventory levels, maximises key performance indicators, and maintains high customer service through effective supply planning and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and publish 1‑14 day production plans for brewing, distilling, and packaging based on demand forecasts and capacity.
• Optimize schedules and inventory allocation to prevent lost sales, identify risks, and seize opportunities.
• Conduct scenario planning to evaluate capacity, inventory, and service‑level trade‑offs.
• Translate production plans into operational KPIs such as GLY, NST, and OAE.
• Plan brewhouse, filtration, racking, distilling, blending, and packaging activities to ensure stock availability.
• Monitor execution, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure resources (materials, packaging components, empties, labour) are ready.
• Maintain master data and planning parameters in planning systems, ensuring accurate product, resource, transportation, and inventory data.
• Review inventory performance continuously and recommend actions to optimise stock holding and working capital.
• Monitor, analyse, and report supply‑chain and planning KPIs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for out‑of‑range KPIs using structured problem‑solving methods.

Required profile

• Experience in short‑term production and supply planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, capacity planning, and KPI monitoring.
• Ability to conduct scenario analysis and balance demand, capacity, and inventory.
• Proficiency in managing master data and planning parameters in planning systems.
• Excellent analytical skills for performance reporting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
