Service Engineer Manager

About the role

The Service Engineer Manager leads a team of service engineers and technicians to ensure efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment. The role is focused on delivering high‑quality customer service, maintaining safety standards, and meeting performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor service engineers and technicians.
• Plan and coordinate installation, maintenance and repair activities.
• Respond promptly to customer service requests and technical issues.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor service quality, customer satisfaction and service metrics.
• Provide technical guidance for complex troubleshooting.
• Manage service contracts, warranties and after‑sales support.
• Prepare service, performance and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies.
• Coordinate with sales, operations and technical teams to improve service delivery.
• Oversee spare‑parts inventory and service tools.
• Identify training needs and organise technical development programmes.
• Monitor departmental budgets and control service‑related costs.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in service engineering, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Experience in maintenance planning and field‑service management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with service management software.
