Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Dangote Cement Tanzania Limited is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead production planning and execution for its cement plant. The role involves shaping production strategy, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and articulate production strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Execute and manage the plant’s production, capacity, and materials‑requirements plans.
• Implement approved production plans to meet target outputs.
• Ensure all processes follow safety and environmental guidelines.
• Prepare annual production budgets and optimise resources to achieve them.
• Coordinate the production team to meet daily line targets and support maintenance activities.
• Oversee kiln lining repairs, raw and cement mill operations, and packaging systems.
• Monitor industry developments and recommend improvements.
• Provide production reports and strategic guidance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Post‑graduate or relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in cement or related process industries.
• In‑depth knowledge of cement production processes and equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality parameters, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proven people‑management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
