Senior IP Engineer

About the role

Huawei Tanzania is seeking a highly skilled Senior IP Engineer to join its team. The role involves overall network design, solution development, troubleshooting, and leading project teams to deliver medium‑ and large‑scale network projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement network architectures, having experience with more than 100 network elements.
• Lead clarification of customer requirements and produce executable network solutions.
• Identify, locate, and resolve IP network problems quickly.
• Configure and optimize core routing protocols such as MPLS, SRv6, IPv6, BGP, OSPF/IS‑IS, and various VPN technologies.
• Act as project team lead, managing plans and delivering projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications or a related field.
• At least five years of experience as a network engineer, preferably on medium‑ and large‑size projects.
• Relevant certifications such as HCIE, HCIP, or CCIE are preferred.
• Experience with access networks, data‑center networks, or enterprise projects is a plus.
