Senior Field Sales Representative – FMCG

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Field Sales Representative to drive growth in the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) market. You will work directly with wholesalers and retailers across Dar es Salaam, promoting our product portfolio and building lasting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Present, promote and sell products to existing and prospective customers, including distributors and wholesalers.
• Conduct cost‑benefit and needs analyses to match customer requirements.
• Generate leads through cold calling and follow up on opportunities.
• Resolve customer problems and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and report progress regularly.
• Coordinate sales activities with internal teams and other departments.
• Analyse market potential, track sales performance and provide status reports.
• Supply management with insights on customer needs, competitive activity and new product opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a strong track record dealing with wholesalers in Dar es Salaam.
• Familiarity with Business Relationship Management (BRM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) practices.
• Highly motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation and time‑management abilities.
