Sales Officer – Client Growth & Portfolio Management

About the role

The Sales Officer will drive client acquisition and nurture profitable relationships for both savings and credit products. Working closely with the Branch Manager, you will contribute to the growth of the branch’s portfolio across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote FINCA’s products and services to prospective and existing clients.
• Open new savings and loan accounts in the field or at the branch.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to create daily, weekly and monthly action plans for client base expansion and loan disbursement targets.
• Use approved promotional tools to market all FINCA offerings.
• Prepare and submit quality loan applications to the credit department.
• Identify customer needs and propose suitable financial solutions.
• Facilitate access to banking through agencies and alternative delivery channels.
• Maintain accurate customer documentation and generate sales performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Social Studies, Community Development or a related field.
• Experience in a client‑facing sales role, education, or agricultural sector is highly desired.
• Basic mathematics, analytical ability, strong reading and writing comprehension, and attention to detail.
• Customer‑oriented mindset; experience in micro‑lending is an advantage.
