Sales Manager – PP Woven Bags & Industrial Packaging

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead the sales of PP woven sacks, BOPP laminated bags, block‑bottom valve bags and related industrial packaging products across Tanzania. The role focuses on building customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain B2B customer relationships and identify new market opportunities.
• Gather customer specifications for bag design, printing and coordinate product development with production and quality teams.
• Monitor orders, stock levels, production priorities and delivery schedules to ensure on‑time fulfilment.
• Manage customer credit limits, follow up on outstanding payments and collections.
• Maintain detailed records of customers, specifications, artwork and sales data using ERP systems and Excel.
• Track competitor pricing, market trends and new developments in the packaging industry.
• Coordinate local and export sales logistics and delivery schedules.
• Prepare regular sales performance and market reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Packaging, Polymer/Plastics, Engineering or related field.
• Preferably 5+ years of sales experience in PP woven bags, flexible or industrial packaging.
• Strong B2B sales, negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Tanzania.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
