Sales Intern – Telesales (Mwenge, Tanzania)

About the role

Watu is looking for a motivated Sales Intern to support its telesales operations in Mwenge, Tanzania. You will work directly with entrepreneurs, promoting financing solutions and helping the company expand its reach in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Watu and implement the sales plan within the assigned area.
• Approach potential clients, deliver product presentations and capture their contact information.
• Generate and follow‑up on leads to convert them into financing opportunities.
• Organise local bodaboda and LGA meetings to increase brand visibility.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects and submit daily reports on activities and interest levels.
• Provide on‑site customer support, answer queries about loans, repayments, recovery and insurance.
• Participate in marketing events and activations organised by the company or partners.

• Enthusiastic and willing to work hard in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong community orientation and ability to build relationships with local entrepreneurs.
• Good communication skills and ability to present information clearly.
• Reliability in reporting daily activities and meeting assigned targets.
