Sales Executive - Lubricants

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a Sales Executive in Dar es Salaam to lead its lubricant market segment and drive effective, profitable growth. The role suits someone with extensive trade management experience, especially in the lubricants field, and involves close coordination with the Sales Manager. It covers moving lubricants and related products through B2B and B2C trade channels, including technical support, new trade opportunities and export growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain process integrity when setting up new customers, including credit application forms
• Analyse competitors and monitor portfolio credit terms and client collections
• Resolve customer grievances on product inquiries, supply, quality and technical queries
• Assist with marketing and sales promotions and seek new opportunities through cold calling, networks and social media
• Conduct market research, create sales and financial reports, and advise the Sales Manager on forecast, blending and importation changes
• Take part in exhibitions and conferences, and ensure HSEQ compliance at customer sites
• Advise customers on lubrication equipment maintenance, interpret oil analysis lab reports with the tech team, and conduct technical training
• Organise testimonials and field trials to win new business or switch customers to higher-performance products
• Ensure technology and quality stewardship across the lubricant range in Tanzania

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business and/or Sales
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a sales executive
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the lubricants industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, deadline-driven, accurate and able to work with a wide range of stakeholders
