Outdoor Sales Representative

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for an Outdoor Sales Representative in Dar es Salaam to drive sales growth through direct client engagement, product demonstrations and proactive relationship management. The role covers a defined territory, identifies new business opportunities and acts as the main link between the company and its clients. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Meet potential and existing clients in person, understand their needs and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations.
• Source new leads through networking, referrals, field visits, social platforms and cold outreach, and follow up to convert prospects into sales.
• Manage the full sales process: initial contact, needs assessment, product demonstration, proposal, negotiation and deal closure.
• Build long-term customer relationships, provide after-sales support and ensure client satisfaction.
• Develop and run territory sales plans to maximise coverage and revenue.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to shape sales strategy.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, roadshows and industry events to generate leads.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, resolve customer issues with internal teams and visit the field regularly to recommend product improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in outdoor or field sales; industry-specific experience is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Goal-oriented, self-driven and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Valid driver's licence is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently and multitask.
