Sales Executive – Business Development (Hybrid, Dar es Salaam)

About the role

The Sales Executive will join M‑works Trade Limited in Dar es Salaam to drive new business and nurture existing client relationships across the company’s workforce‑management and distribution services. Working in a hybrid model, the role combines field visits with remote activities to support the company’s route‑to‑market initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct field visits, gather market insights and feed them into sales forecasts.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate terms and close deals.
• Collaborate with operations, research and delivery teams to align client needs with service offerings.
• Produce regular sales reports, manage pipeline and update CRM data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, preferably in FMCG, distribution or related sectors.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, balancing field work and remote tasks.
• Fluency in English and Swahili with a valid ability to travel locally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic office software such as spreadsheets and presentation tools.
• Experience using CRM systems and sales‑force automation tools.
• Competence in email communication and digital collaboration platforms.
