Risk Executive – Fraud Prevention & Operational Risk

About the role

Pesapal is looking for two Risk Executives to strengthen its fraud prevention and operational risk management capabilities. The role involves protecting the integrity of the payment ecosystem by identifying emerging fraud trends, investigating suspicious transactions and supporting charge‑back management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor transactions across POS, Card‑Not‑Present, online and other channels to detect and investigate potential fraud.
• Escalate high‑risk incidents and work with Commercial, Merchant Support, Operations, Compliance, Finance and Technology teams to resolve issues.
• Manage charge‑back processes and ensure performance targets are met.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of fraud incidents and recommend improvements to detection rules and operational controls.
• Support operational risk initiatives, including process reviews and regulatory compliance monitoring.
