Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth across the assigned territory, building strong relationships with distributors and retailers, and ensuring the successful launch of new products. This role requires frequent travel, proactive lead generation, and effective communication with internal teams while on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve regional sales targets, increase market share, and improve overall business performance.
• Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales plans, monitoring sales volume, inventory, collections, and product performance.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, and key retail customers.
• Expand sales channels, improve retail coverage, product display, and adherence to retail standards.
• Lead regional execution of new product launches, promotional campaigns, and go‑to‑market projects.
• Conduct regular market visits to gather competitor intelligence on products, pricing, channels, and promotions.
• Manage regional sales and retail teams, setting targets, overseeing daily activities, tracking performance, and developing capabilities.
• Coordinate with sales, retail, marketing, logistics, and other departments to resolve regional business issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, channel management, or retail operations, with at least 1 year of team‑management experience.
• Preferred experience in mobile phones, consumer electronics, telecommunications, home appliances, or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian market, local customers, and retail channels.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, data‑analysis, and team‑management abilities.
• High sense of ownership, responsibility, execution, and problem‑solving.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
