Regional Sales Manager – Beverage Industry

About the role

Our client, a leading beverage manufacturer in Tanzania, is looking for a results‑driven Regional Sales Manager to lead the sales function, grow revenue and expand market share across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue, market share and profitability targets.
• Lead, mentor and motivate a sales team to achieve high performance.
• Manage and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets and key accounts.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion throughout Tanzania.
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activity and customer preferences.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and regular performance reports.
• Collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns and product launches.
• Ensure product availability across all sales channels and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Oversee credit management and collections in partnership with finance.
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, customer meetings and industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Commerce or related field (MBA preferred).
• 4‑5 years of experience in FMCG or beverage manufacturing sales.
• Proven track record managing distributors and modern‑trade accounts.
• Strong understanding of route‑to‑market, channel management and sales forecasting.
• Demonstrated success leading high‑performing sales teams.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
