Pastry Chef for Luxury Zanzibar Resort

About the role

The Iberostar Selection Zanzibar 5* resort is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to lead its pastry and confectionery department. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality desserts, breads, and sweet products while ensuring profitability and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all pastry services, maintaining culinary standards for guests and hotel staff.
• Support service operations during peak periods and respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and compliments.
• Analyze customer survey results and implement improvement plans.
• Maintain kitchen facilities, equipment, and ensure proper sanitation compliance.
• Perform daily inventory, place weekly food orders, and manage waste.
• Receive and evaluate supplier deliveries and audit results.
• Participate in team selection, training, and performance feedback.
• Control budget, monitor revenue, costs, and personnel expenses.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
