Order Booker – Pre‑Sales (Field Sales)

About the role

The Order Booker (Pre‑Sales) is responsible for visiting modern trade outlets across Dar es Salaam, presenting the product catalogue and generating sales through accurate order taking using the company’s Sales Force Automation (SFA) system. The role focuses on building strong relationships with outlet owners and managers, increasing product visibility, and supporting overall sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned modern trade outlets according to a daily route plan.
• Present the product catalogue, new launches and promotions.
• Take accurate customer orders using the SFA application.
• Submit orders on time for delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with outlet owners, managers and purchasing staff.
• Identify opportunities to expand product distribution and visibility.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing and promotions, and report insights.
• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales and coverage targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer records in the SFA system.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate when needed.
• Ensure compliance with company sales policies and ethical standards.
• Maintain the assigned motorbike in good condition and follow road safety rules.
• Submit daily sales reports and required documentation on time.

Required profile

• Certificate of Secondary Education (Form Four/O‑Level) or higher; additional qualifications in sales, marketing or business are a plus.
• Previous experience in FMCG sales, distribution or field sales is preferred.
• Experience with Sales Force Automation (SFA) applications is advantageous.
• Valid Tanzanian driver’s licence, valid motorcycle licence and willingness to travel within the territory.
• Age between 25 and 35 years and physically fit.
