Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support EGPAF's mission to achieve an AIDS‑free generation by ensuring high‑quality data management for routine program monitoring, reporting and use across multiple regions in Tanzania.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit routine program reports (monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, annual) in collaboration with project offices and health facilities.
• Conduct Data Quality Assessments and reviews following national standards.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to facility and community data clerks on health information systems.
• Maintain and document data files for donor reporting (SAPR, APR, ad‑hoc queries).
• Review program dashboards with partners and district teams to analyse trends and recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on mobile devices and coordinate app updates with Informatics teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Health, Data Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of M&E experience in the health sector, preferably with NGOs and PEPFAR‑funded projects.
• Proven experience using national DHIS2 platform and PEPFAR electronic reporting systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
