Monitoring and Evaluation Lead

About the role

The Monitoring and Evaluation Lead will support EGPAF Tanzania’s HIV/AIDS and TB projects, ensuring accurate data collection, reporting and digital health system rollout across Manyara, Kagera and Tabora.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee national and programme data availability, design tools, conduct data quality assessments and produce reports.
• Lead the regional M&E team, provide technical support to project staff and health providers, and coordinate all regional M&E tasks.
• Organise data review meetings, respond to data queries, and ensure timely reporting to donors and stakeholders.
• Participate in design of digital health systems and collaborate with government and partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, statistics, epidemiology, public health or related field (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years experience supervising HIV/AIDS and TB monitoring at facility or community level.
• Strong understanding of Tanzania’s health system and experience working with NGOs or public sector institutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking and ability to work with little supervision.

Required skills

• Health information systems: CTC2, HTS module, Pharmacy database, MTUHA, DHIS2, DATIM.
• Data analysis tools: MS Office, STATA.
