Technical Advisor PMTCT/Pediatric and Youth Services

About the role

The Technical Advisor supports EGPAF Tanzania’s pediatric and youth HIV/AIDS strategy, providing technical guidance at regional and facility levels across Dodoma, Kagera and Tabora.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the pediatric and adolescent health strategy, coordinating with regional health teams and facilities.
• Monitor progress toward pediatric and youth HIV targets, supporting data collection, reporting and quality improvement.
• Provide mentorship, training and supervision to health care providers on PMTCT, EID, HIV/TB care and early childhood development.
• Facilitate the rollout of new guidelines, ARV regimens and policy updates.
• Conduct site assessments, case reviews and support integration of services such as nutrition, family planning and gender-based violence prevention.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) with at least 5 years experience in HIV, TB and adolescent health programming.
• Proven experience in managing pediatric HIV/AIDS projects, including supervision and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement with government and partners.
• Excellent analytical, oral and written communication abilities.
