Lab Technician

About the role

The Lab Technician supports the value chain by performing checks and analyses on raw materials used in beer production, ensuring compliance with AB InBev quality standards. This position works in a fast‑paced brewing environment, providing timely laboratory data to keep production on track.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis and conduct in‑process testing during production.
• Operate and maintain all laboratory equipment, including calibration and cleaning according to schedule.
• Record, evaluate and report analytical results promptly.
• Apply troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis to support problem‑solving.
• Conduct GMP and packaging audits, and perform inter‑laboratory ring‑test analyses.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety standards in the lab.
• Close non‑conformances within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Assertive, analytical and proactive mindset.
• Proven leadership ability and self‑motivation.
• Minimum diploma in Laboratory Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry or equivalent.
• 6‑12 months of on‑the‑job training plus 1‑2 years experience in a laboratory, brewing or packaging environment.
• Experience in the food industry or related laboratory setting.
• Understanding of process control within a brewing or similar process environment.
