Junior Finance Specialist – Dar es Salaam

About the role

The Junior Finance Specialist will join the Service Unit in Dar es Salaam, working closely with the Finance Manager to support financial planning, reporting and cost monitoring for national personnel and project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist local projects with financial planning, cost monitoring and expenditure tracking using SAP S/4HANA.
• Prepare project financial reports in line with international donor requirements and manage internal and external controls.
• Draft budgets for new projects or extensions and provide timely financial information to the Head of Service Unit.
• Assess administrative functions for quality, coordinate with the Head of Service Unit and other Finance Managers to standardise processes.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
• Initial experience with a Big 4 audit firm or controlling in large international companies is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills, and fluency in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA.
