Investment Analyst – Impact Private Credit Fund

About the role

Sayuni Capital is seeking an ambitious Investment Analyst to join its Tanzania team. You will work across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing SME opportunities to monitoring portfolio performance and measuring impact.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate prospective SME investment opportunities in agribusiness, manufacturing, logistics, and trade.
• Conduct market, industry, and ESG research to assess trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform detailed financial, commercial, operational, and risk due diligence.
• Analyze financial statements and build financial models to support investment decisions.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Support structuring and execution of private credit and mezzanine financing transactions.
• Maintain relationships with portfolio companies, monitor their performance, and assist with value‑creation initiatives.
• Track loan repayments, portfolio metrics, and ESG impact indicators such as gender inclusion and job creation.
• Contribute to investor reporting, fundraising activities, and internal fund operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Actuarial Science, or another quantitative discipline.
• Professional qualifications (CPA, CA, ACCA, CFA, FRM) are a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, banking, corporate finance, financial advisory, consulting, or audit.
