Inventory Controller

About the role

The Inventory Controller ensures that all inventory governance processes and documentation are executed accurately, with physical movements correctly reflected in SAP. The role supports primary and secondary distribution activities while maintaining inventory accuracy, compliance, and product quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate daily and monthly physical inventory counts and process stock adjustments in SAP.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring all movements are reflected in SAP and supporting invoice query resolution.
• Verify Post Goods Issue transactions, manage inter‑depot movement documentation, and follow up on outstanding movements.
• Apply FIFO principles, manage stock rotation, and ensure compliance with product recall and frozen‑stock procedures.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances, compile daily stock packs, and obtain stakeholder sign‑offs.

Required profile

• High integrity, strong attention to detail, and excellent analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication, interpersonal abilities, and capacity to work independently under pressure.
• Relevant 3‑year diploma or degree and 2–3 years of warehousing/inventory management experience.

Required skills

• SAP (experience advantageous)
• Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Computer literacy and ability to configure handheld counting devices
