Internal Audit Manager – Hybrid (Tanzania)

About the role

The National Bank of Commerce is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead audit assignments in line with the bank’s audit plan, policies and quality standards. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit work, testing design and operating effectiveness, and supporting data‑analytics and automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute design and operating effectiveness testing focused on key risks.
• Evaluate internal controls and document working papers accurately.
• Prepare concise audit observations addressing root causes and draft governance reports for the Board Audit Committee.
• Build relationships with management and present findings at risk and governance forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Management or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA (CIA is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of internal or external audit experience in a financial institution.
• Advanced analytical thinking, audit methodology knowledge and proficiency in data analytics.
