Human Resources Specialist

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist will lead daily HR operations and oversee the full recruitment cycle for technicians on a project basis. This role ensures smooth onboarding, payroll processing, and compliance with Tanzanian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations and recruitment for project technicians.
• Source candidates, coordinate with hiring managers, and conduct full recruitment cycles.
• Onboard new hires, draft and issue employment contracts in line with Tanzanian Employment and Labour Relations laws.
• Maintain and update employee personnel files and ensure work/residence permits for expatriates.
• Ensure compliance with NSSF, manage medical insurance, and process end‑to‑end monthly payroll (collecting inputs, validating data, calculating salaries, and coordinating with stakeholders).

Required profile

• BSc degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience.
• Fluent English communication.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Basic knowledge of AI tools.
• Good understanding of Tanzanian labour laws.
• HR certification is a plus.
