Head of People – HR Leadership Role

About the role

Helios Towers is seeking a Head of People to lead its people strategy across its extensive telecom infrastructure portfolio in Africa and the Middle East. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving a high-performance culture and supporting the company’s growth and transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall people strategy, policies and procedures aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee talent acquisition, recruitment, selection and placement processes.
• Design and manage remuneration, reward packages and performance management systems.
• Lead employee engagement, learning and development initiatives, and staff training programmes.
• Maintain healthy industrial relations and ensure compliance with employment and labour legislation.
• Advise the Managing Director on people-related issues and monitor changes in the external environment.
• Champion the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and promote effective management-employee communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Public Administration or Industrial Relations.
• Professional HR qualification (CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, CHRP or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources Management is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior people leadership role.
