Head of Finance (Hospitality)

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the financial function of Kendwa Rocks Beach Hotel, providing strategic direction, robust controls and insightful analysis to drive profitability and sustainable growth across all hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long‑term financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting and capital planning.
• Lead financial modelling, ROI, NPV, IRR and payback analyses for current and future projects.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, taxation and statutory compliance while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and working capital.
• Drive cost‑optimisation initiatives and procurement reviews across all departments.
• Partner with Revenue Management to improve ADR, RevPAR, GOP and EBITDA.
• Collaborate with HR on performance‑based incentive schemes.
• Mentor and develop the finance team through succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA, ACCA, CMA or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum seven years of senior finance leadership experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with hotel systems such as Opera, Micros, SunSystems and Material Control.
