About the role

The Head of Corporate Banking will lead the corporate banking division of a leading financial institution, driving revenue growth and delivering innovative banking solutions to corporate and institutional clients. This senior position is responsible for shaping strategy, managing high‑value portfolios, and ensuring an exceptional client experience while maintaining rigorous risk and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the corporate banking business to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand the corporate client portfolio across global, regional, public‑sector and financial‑institution segments.
• Drive growth of lending, trade finance, cash management and other corporate banking products.
• Build and deepen relationships with key corporate customers, ensuring superior service delivery.
• Collaborate with product partners to maximize cross‑selling opportunities and increase client wallet share.
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability and key metrics, implementing improvement actions as needed.
• Lead, mentor and develop the relationship‑management team, overseeing account allocation, performance management and staff development.
• Oversee credit proposals, ensuring compliance with risk policies and approval processes.
• Prepare regular business performance reports, sales pipeline updates, revenue forecasts and management dashboards.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated banking solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in corporate or wholesale banking, with proven leadership experience.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and strategic planning abilities.
• Demonstrated success in managing large corporate client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership, people‑management and coaching capabilities.
• Strong analytical, financial and problem‑solving skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of corporate banking products and relationship‑management practices.
• Experience with credit risk assessment and regulatory compliance frameworks.
