Head of Commercial (Logistics)

About the role

The Head of Commercial will be the primary liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring seamless, cost‑effective, and reliable end‑to‑end logistics services. This senior leader will drive commercial strategy, manage key accounts, and protect the company’s contractual interests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the existing customer base while ensuring contracts are financially viable and delivered on budget.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, tender participation, quotation preparation, and proactive outreach.
• Lead price review processes, negotiate terms, and communicate revised pricing to all stakeholders.
• Oversee contract management, KYC compliance, and ensure active contracts are in place for all accounts.
• Monitor business performance metrics such as profitability, revenue, and pricing.
• Handle customer complaints, ensure timely resolution, and provide feedback to relevant teams.
• Coordinate with third‑party partners (shipping lines, customs, etc.) to guarantee smooth shipment handling.
• Forecast sales and support customer service and troubleshooting activities.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in commercial or sales functions within logistics or transportation.
• Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyse financial data and drive profitability.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
