Full‑time Accountant (Dar es Salaam/Bagamoyo)

About the role

ITM Tanzania Limited is seeking a full‑time Accountant for its automotive division in Dar es Salaam (Bagamoyo). The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering timely financial reports to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts.
• Record and file all financial transactions accurately.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
• Track receivables and ensure timely collections.
• Support internal and external audits and manage fund handling.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or ACCA certification (or in progress) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or ERP systems.
