Foreman - Mine Development

About the role

The Barrick North Mara Team is looking for a Foreman to lead underground mine development operations. You will ensure safety, planning, and execution targets are met while supporting continuous improvement and training initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support safety targets through lead indicator systems and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly development planning, reporting and resource allocation.
• Lead shift supervisors, oversee daily activities and ensure accurate shift reporting.
• Maintain compliance with industry codes, environmental and community policies.
• Manage training registers and ensure personnel have required job‑relevant training.
• Provide leadership for continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• At least five (5) years of experience in an underground development supervisory role.
• Experience with development operations and multiple mining methodologies.
• Tertiary education or ordinary secondary education.
• Valid blasting certificate as per Tanzania regulations.
• Valid driving licence.
• Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering is an advantage.
