Food Preparation Helper – Full‑time

About the role

The Uniques Tanzania is seeking a full‑time Food Preparation Helper to work on‑site at our Serengeti property. You will support kitchen and service teams by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes.
• Clean and organize workstations and operate basic kitchen equipment.
• Store and handle food items correctly, adhering to food safety standards.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth food service.
• Replenish supplies and assist with inventory as needed.

Required profile

• Strong skills in food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
• Experience in food service or food & beverage operations.
• Effective customer service attitude and professional approach.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable time‑management, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is beneficial.
• A relevant vocational certificate in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is an advantage.
