Financial Accountant – Full‑time (Dar es Salaam)

About the role

Shugulika Africa Limited is looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join its finance team in Dar es Salaam. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Ensure timely filing of taxes and adherence to local financial regulations.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing schedules, documentation and audit trails.
• Support the finance department with ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping or corporate finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Good command of MS Office applications.
