Finance & Operations Manager

About the role

CHITAN Rollers, through its Finance & Operations department, is looking for a Finance & Operations Manager based in Tanzania. The manager oversees day-to-day financial and operational activities, including accurate records, cash flow, reconciliations, statutory compliance, payroll, collections, purchasing coordination and the execution of sales and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting: manage petty cash, payment vouchers and accounting data entry; post purchase invoices and payments; prepare and maintain ledger accounts and monthly financial statements; prepare costing sheets for imported goods and local purchases
• Collections and tax: follow up on outstanding customer payments, monitor collections and supplier payments, and prepare monthly payroll with timely PAYE, SDL, WCF and NHIF submissions, plus VAT returns and other taxes
• Operations: coordinate with Sales and Operations on sales orders and deliveries, support purchasing and supplier payments, and ensure purchases are documented and financially accounted for
• Staff: supervise and coordinate finance and operations staff, allocate responsibilities and monitor performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance or Engineering and Mechanical
• Ability to manage and supervise staff, work independently and meet deadlines
