Finance Manager – Manufacturing & Diversified Sectors

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead financial operations for a diversified client operating in manufacturing, construction, real estate and hospitality in Mwanza, Tanzania. The role ensures robust financial controls, accurate reporting and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of financial statements, ensure regulatory compliance and present reports to senior leadership.
• Lead annual budgeting, develop cash‑flow forecasts, financial models and monitor budget adherence.
• Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships and working‑capital requirements.
• Support production and operations with cost analysis, cost‑saving initiatives and project cost controls.
• Coordinate tax matters (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax), ensure TRA compliance and lead internal and external audits.
• Supervise and mentor finance officers and accountants, collaborating with heads of manufacturing, construction, real estate and hospitality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Mandatory CPA or ACCA professional qualification.
• 5‑7 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in a diversified or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of reporting standards and proven budgeting and financial analysis abilities.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with modern ERP/accounting systems.
• Expertise in financial reporting standards.
• Ability to build budgets, forecasts and financial models.
